If any of you participated in Amnesty International in college, you know, they REALLY know how to organize a letter writing campaign.  And they are still doing it well.  In honor of human rights day (tomorrow, December, 10th) they have been hosting a letter writing campaign until tomorrow to urge authorities around the globe to free activists like journalists and other human rights defenders that are facing unjust and improper imprisonment.

From a great post on Causecast on the event - “In the last two years, participants’ letters have contributed to the release of five individuals serving unjustified sentences. This year’s cases include Aung San Suu Kyi of Burma, Mansour Ossanlu of Iran, Rita Mahato of Nepal, and many more.”

Pick up a pen and register at Amnesty’s website and search for a letter-writing campaign you can participate in.
