Documentary, Worse Than War, takes a look into the journey of Daniel Goldhagen, a Holocaust scholar, as he travels across eight countries to visit the sites of atrocious mass murders. Set for its first screening on August 6th in Aspen, the film includes survivors, killers, witnesses, leaders and journalists; all of whom help shed light on the genocide problem we continue to face today all around the world.

Even though the film is not set to be released until 2010, they are holding an advance screening on the 75th anniversary of Adolph Hitler’s rise to Fuehrer.

“The real challenge in recalling any trauma is not how many facts are preserved, but how our memory of the past prevents a recurrence of its horrors for any potential victim…We need to learn how to remember forward, and this film helps us do just that,” Brad Hirschfield, editor of Remember for Life: Holocaust Survivors’ Stories of Faith and Hope and President of The National Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership, says.

Following the screening of Worse Than War, the Executive Producer of the film, Jay Sanderson will join Rabbi Hirschfield to talk about the future of genocide, its prevention and how to save millions of lives.

And, did we mention– the event is FREE.
