In September we asked you to sign the petition to Drop Dobbs. Meaning Lou Dobbs.  Since then, with your help,
America’s Voice raised money ($16,000 to be exact) to produce and air an ad, “Drop the Hate,” (see below) that urges CNN to drop Dobbs and his hate-spewing, one-sided “news” show. Unfortunately CNN has taken the cowardly route and refused to air the ad, so please continue to give us your support and tell CNN’s president Jonathan Klein that he needs to take notice of this growing movement.

As America’s Voice puts it, By refusing to deal with Lou Dobbs and his nightly tirade against immigrants, Latinos, and people of color, CNN is quickly losing credibility as the “Most Trusted Name in News.” As people become aware of the network’s one-sided coverage of immigration, they will start changing the channel.

So tonight, please DO change the channel to MSNBC where the “Drop the Hate” ad will be aired on the Rachel Maddow show at 9:00 pm EST. It will be aired in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York City, and Washington, DC. Let’s hope CNN gets the hint that we’re here to stay and they better take some action NOW!
