breakthrough beat: A “breaking” reason to go to the DWN conference
Tomorrow, Breakthrough will be in Washington D.C. for the Detention Watch Network conference from Sept. 24th - 26th. People will be getting together to share what they are doing and learning how to better advance immigration reform - such as a new potential campaign with DWN calling for no more beds in detention centers.
Please go to the panel on “Strategic Communications,” with our very own Madhuri Mohindar (at far right of the video) which will discuss messaging to reach a broader audience. Also, on Advocacy Day at the conference, she’ll be handing out our new documentary Restore Fairness, made with 26 partners. The doc has interviews with Members of Congress, judges and personal stories of why due process needs to be restored to our immigration system.
Click the video to watch (and to get off that lovely freeze frame) made by our friend Will Coley and the many reasons you should go.
