our daily chirp: @susanneure: Amnesty’s new report on Nairobi’s two million slum dwellers
Check out this post by our friend susanneure:
Amnesty launches first Demand Dignity campaign report: The unseen majority: Nairobi’s two million slum dwellers. http://twurl.nl/6dm5ea
It looks like Amnesty’s new campaign, Demand Dignity, a group of reports about the conditions of slum life in the global South and the economic practices that spur poverty, has just released its first report on Kenya. It details the kinds of hardships the majority of people in slums experience, and shows just how we can eliminate much of the harsh and cruel conditions. Whether or not you believe this kind of poverty is a violation of human rights, check this out; it’s eye-opening!
